Yuvraj Singh invests in co-working startup Creator’s Gurukul

Cricket superstar Yuvraj Singh has backed an another startup by investing an undisclosed amount in a coworking start-up Creator’s Gurukul. This is the third investment made by Yuvraj Singh’s YouWeCan Ventures. Previously the venture has invested in other startups like EduKart, EazyDiner and Healthians.

The Delhi-based startup was Co-founded by entrepreneurs Abhinav Tandon and Mohammed Sirajuddin, Gurukul has based its model on shared office spaces. Creator’s Gurukul offers co-working spaces that are a unique amalgamation of nature and technology to provide an enriching environment promoting collaboration, innovation and a more productive work culture.

Commenting on the development, Abhinav Tandon, Co-Founder, at Creator’s Gurukul, said, “It has indeed been an exhilarating time for us. We have spent a lot of time in researching the nature of the business, prepare a disruptive business model, onboarding the right strategic team and we have now been able to bring one of India’s favorite icons on-board to kick start the announcements.”

The startup’s first co-working center with over 500 seats is located in Gurugram. It plans to set up two more centers in Mangalore and Delhi by the end of the year.

Yuvraj Singh shared his excitement and said, “Creator’s Gurukul has mixed all the right ingredients and global alliances to create the new age work places ideally suited for modern day requirements.”

“It feels great to be a part of the Creator’s Gurukul team and I look forward to working with Siraj and Abhinav on this exciting journey. I am confident that the unique business model of Creator’s Gurukul will disrupt the sector in a big way and create an inspiring global brand,” he added.

This investment come from YouWeCan three startup funding from Rs 40-50 Crore fund in 2015 that had set aside for injecting into potential upcoming startups. Earlier Yuvraj Singh’s YouWeCan has invested in other startups like JetSetGo, cargo logistics firm Moovo, EduKart, online beauty services venture Vyomo, healthcare startup Healthians and Mumbai-based brand licensing startup Black White Orange among others.
