India’s top online home furnishing store, UrbanLadder has announced its collaboration with Interior designing startup-Homelane.com. The partnership is part of Urban Ladder ‘UL Co-lab’ program where they connect and build a platform for interior designers.
In February 2017, Urban Ladder has raised fresh investments of $15.2 Million of Series-E funding from existing investors Kalahari and SAIF Partners. Since then the online furniture store has been working on the expansion of services and business.
UrbanLadder is a Bangalore-based startup, founded in 2012 by IIT and IIM graduates Ashish Goel & Rajiv Srivatsav. Urban Ladder is an online furniture company that aims to build a million beautiful Indian homes. With over 1000 products and 25 categories, Urban Ladder’s exquisite collection of furniture is soon becoming popular among shoppers in top metros. The startup is backed by top tier venture capital firms Sequoia Capital, Steadview Capital, SAIF Partners and Kalaari Capital. The total equity funding of Urban Ladder is of $92.24 Million, which concluded in 5 funding rounds.

Homelane.com was founded in 2014 by IIT and IIM Alumnus Rama Harinath, Srikanth Iyer, Jayanth Mysore and Vivek Parasuram. HomeLane is India’s leading end to end, vertically integrated interior design and manufacturing provider. They offer personalized designs for their customers with more than 1000 projects delivered across the country. UrbanLadder is using VR-technology to guide their customers through their designs. The total equity funding of Homelane is of $54.5 Million from Sequoia Capital, which took place in 2 rounds.

This collaboration will help Homelane customers to have option of complementing their fit-out selection of modular kitchens, wardrobes and entertainments modules.
