After delivering record-breaking blockbuster movies, ace Bollywood Actor Salman Khan is all set to launch his own Smartphone brand named BeingSmart. The name is taken from his clothing brand BeingHuman.
According to the reports, the actor has registered the BeingSmart trademark for smartphone venture already. The smartphones will lie in the entry level and Mid-Range category which will be targeted for middle-class families.
The actor has already chosen a Chinese plant for the production of headsets. Mr Khan is in the process of building a team comprising from ex-Micromax and Samsung employees.
One of the sources told the publication, “BeingSmart will be positioned against the Chinese smartphone brigade Oppo, Vivo and Xiaomi at a time where domestic handset makers such as Micromax and Intex are facing tremendous Competition. Like the Being Human apparel line, proceeds from the profit will be ploughed back into charity and social work that Salman Khan does with his Being Human Foundation.”
The smartphone will cost around 20,000 which will work on the Android-based platform and will be available at online stores and later will shift to offline dealers. The smartphone may be available at their online fashion store “BeingHuman.”
Being Human was founded in the year 2014. Salman Khan and his sister Alvira are closely engaged with the Being Human business and its product offerings. BeingHuman is a non-profitable association, where all the profits and revenues go to a charity working in the areas of education and healthcare for the underprivileged.
Salman Khan has a huge fan following across the country. His fashion product ‘BeingHuman’ is already a huge success in its own segment.
