MYCOUNSEL was started when the cofounders observed that their friends were facing difficulties while starting up their own ventures. They found that the legal service providers were charging a lot for  small scale business and startups. So they decided to solve this issue by providing legal services to startups and small businesses where they don’t have a provision for legal department.

Mycounsel  has a small and highly talented team of lawyers who have worked with major corporate houses across IT, Media, Telecommunication and general practice. As everyone always wanted to start their own business they got onto board one at a time and this led to the formation of Mycounsel.

The Founding Members

Retwik Mukherjee- He Worked as a lawyer for a US offshore Company and Oracle while conceptualizing the idea of Mycounsel. He is an expert in technology, IT , Media and commercial laws. Initially it was difficult for him to quit his high paying job and work for a startup but his passion to solve peoples problems led his way to the start of Mycounsel.in

Sheila Rao- She has a strong academic record and holds university ranking in LLB and LLM and she has over 7 years of experience in practising law and working for corporate. Her Forte is Corporate and transnational laws. She has been remarkable in solving some of the complex problems that the start-ups are facing with.

Future

As the crew members believe that they  stand out from others in terms of values and with a deep understanding of how a start-up company works they  would want to be present in every major city in the country and work with every emerging business to provide them value and easy access to affordable corporate legal services.

Although the Revenue has not been great, the company is expecting its growth at a higher rate. The reason being its performing better than traditional law firms in its starting years. This idea was not funded by any major funding groups, it was totally bootstrapped by the co-founders.
