LimeTray secures undisclosed amount of funding from JSW Ventures

LimeTray is a SaaS based solution to restaurants, has raised an undisclosed amount of funding from JSW Ventures, a venture capital arm of ‎Sajjan Jindal‎-led JSW Group. The firm will use the capital to strengthen its ‘restaurant OS’ product suite and expand to international markets, it said in a statement.

The Delhi-Based firm was started in 2013 by Akhilesh Bali and Piyush Jain. LimeTray is a web-presence and web-marketing platform for local businesses. They provide a suite of tools that help merchants build a consistent brand presence across the web to engage better with the local audience.

Commenting on the development, LimeTray co-founder and CEO, Akhilesh Bali said, “As we expand on our vision to help restaurants run better & build an international footprint, we welcome JSW Ventures as partners in this journey.”

LimeTray offers a suite of software products to food and beverage establishments which further helps them with commerce, billing, channel management, customer engagement, and digital marketing. The company competes in the market with players such as Posist and Torqus.

The company claims to have over 2,000 customers in India, Dubai, Indonesia, and Nigeria. Its clientele includes chains like Burger King, Mad Over Donuts, Taco Bell, Krispy Kreme, and other local and national F&B businesses.

Commenting on its investment in LimeTray, Mr. Gaurav Sachdeva, Managing Partner – JSW Ventures said, “We are excited to partner with Akhilesh and Piyush as they roll-out LimeTray’s SaaS product internationally. The team has built a competitive advantage on product and has a unique positioning with low churn across restaurants.”

JSW Ventures is a part of the JSW group and provides early stage venture capital to companies building innovative products, services or technology leveraging India’s demographic dividend, consumption drivers, manufacturing, and technological advancements.
