Food, Cloth and Shelter are the three primary necessities of living for any human being. A choice of business in this area has always yielded fruitful results to many. Putting emphasis on the very same concept, PKC is one such aggregator of laundry services.

Two M.B.A graduates, Premanth Kundurthi(PK) and Chaitanya(C) had been working on some ideas for the past 1.5 years and finally landed on this thought of building up a laundry service.

The functional outline of PKC is pretty much simple. They associate with gated communities, villas and residential colonies, collect and deliver laundry in a very systematic and orderly fashion. The services include wash and iron, only iron, dry cleaning, dyeing, and darning. With the help of technology people can order these services through the APP, website, telephone, Whatsapp, and even through their official Facebook page. Once the customer places an order, the delivery executive will reach them in an hour and collect the clothes which are then segregated and sent to the nearest vendor.

Specially designed monthly packages are available for the families and bachelors. They also have flexy packages for hostels, and P.G’s. Providing services at a nominal price of Rs.599 per month for wash and iron. Operational executives will be doing a quality check regularly at the suppliers end.

“Our basic motto of starting a business is to help in generating employment for the unskilled labor (as you know if a person earns Rs.33 per day is above the poverty line, according to Rangarajan committee report. Our vision is to make that Rs.33 per day to Rs.333.3 per day to all the people who are working with PKC). We want to provide employment to those who are willing to work hard and develop themselves and in turn give livelihood for their families. ” says Premanth Kudurthi, The Founder.

As of now, PKC is a bootstrap venture with initial investments being a pool of savings and a little family help. The revenue flow has been a good Rs 50,000- Rs 1,00,000 ( for the month of March).

Wishing to expand into further areas, PKC works to be the benchmark in home services domain and to be the word of the mouth when it comes to laundering services throughout Hyderabad thereby gaining a firm grip in the city before starting other city expansions.
