Hyderabad-based HealthCare startup-Celes Care, raises Pre-Series A funding

HealthCare startup Celes Care raise $1.5 Million of Pre-Series A from Ventureast, Endiya Partners, Eight Roads Ventures, F-Prime Capital Partners, Dr. Varaprasad Reddy and other preeminent investors. Celes care also launched India’s First Virtual health clinic for women.

 All this was announced in the presence of K.T.Rama Rao, State Minister for IT and Development, Telangana and Dr. Steven Steinbhul, Director of Digital Medicine at STSI.

The Hyderabad-based startup was founded in December 2015 by Raghu Bhatina, an entrepreneur from Silicon Valley and Dr.Rajesh Vikramaditya Koppala. Celes Care provides medical guidance about their health via a private web chat interface.The startup claims to provide various types of virtual health services for all women.

CEO, Raghu Bhatina said, “In today’s stress-filled society and workplace; women must have an avenue where they can get their health issues addressed, conveniently and privately.”

Celes Care provides telephonic health care and guidance for women by a professional team. Currently, they are 20 doctors on board, who provide telephonic health services regarding fertility, pregnancy, thyroid, PCOS, weight control, menopause, etc.

Co-founder Dr. Rajah Koppala said, “Given that many medical issues can be handled via telehealth, Celes aims to provide instant, affordable and accessible healthcare with the best clinical practices.”

Till now, Celes has claimed to help over 6,000 women and completed over 10,000 consultancies by mid-2016. The startup now has 20 on board doctors for the operations and planning to expand to 50 by end of 2017.

Commenting on the investment, Venkatadri Bobba from Ventureast said: “Digital health is radically increasing in the country. In the next 10 years, Digital Health Services will be leading the economy. We are honored to tie up with Guru of digital Health Dr. Steven Steinbhul and will be looking forward to working with Celes. ”

Celes Care will be using their freshly raised funds for R&D around telehealth applications and devices, and for outreaching to more B2C and B2B customers. Read more about healthcare startup
