Gridle is the all-in-one for your workplace

All through the student years, we wanted question banks and all-in-ones to make our exam preparation easier. We believed in optimising our time on the night before our exam. Text books and notes are too many to read through in too less a time. Our only saviours were all-in-ones. In the same way, we Indians don’t like to watch single genre movies like only action, comedy, romance or drama. We love movies which have all the genres simultaneously and oh yes; it has to be a musical too. We need it all in 3 hours and 1 ticket. In both these cases, all we are doing is optimising our time and various other resources. When we plan our daily activities also, we try to optimize to increase our productivity. But when it comes to communicating in a professional environment, why is it that we waste our time by using and operating a number of tools or apps. When this question racked their brains, three young entrepreneurs came up with the answer Gridle.

The birth of Gridle

Working on a project together, the 3 founders realized that it was pretty difficult and time consuming to chat on one app, send documents through email and have video meetings through Skype to communicate with each other and to get things done. They perceived that if a small project is affected negatively by using multiple tools, then in bigger organisations, the wastage of resources is very high which in turn affects the productivity of teamwork. They researched to know that 28 man hours/month are wasted on juggling a minimum of 3-4 apps in a workplace. They created a productivity platform for work that brings together all forms of communication channels like chat, tasks, files, emails, video and audio conferencing.

The minds behind Gridle

The founders of Gridle are Yash Shah (Co founder & Chief Executive, 25 Yrs) a mechanical Engineer from NIT-S who manages resources, business development and sales, Anupama Panchal (Co-founder & Chief of Tech, 25 Yrs.) a Computer Science engineer from DA-IICT, Gandhi Nagar who looks after the tech behind the platform and Abhishek Doshi (Co-founder & Chief of Product, 25 Yrs) a graduate in planning from CEPT university who looks after the product design, roadmap and developments. They overcame their challenges of finding talented individuals who believed in the startup and convincing companies to put their data on a single platform. After not-so-good experiences for a while, in 6 months of development of design and technology, customer experience is enhanced and Gridle has a monthly active user percentage of 41%. As simple as a desk

Gridle is a simple tool with all the channels of communication and data transfer built in. “We call it Desk” say the team of Gridle. They provide customers a “desk” on which all data can be placed while everyone can see and interact with each other. All is, through a user interface. The customers can integrate applications and services they already use to update their status and get notifications on Gridle.

Gridle is a part of CIIE incubation at IIM-A and are planning to raise 3 cr INR as funding. A notable fact is that it is completely free for non-profit organisations, educational institutes, start-ups and NGO’s. Currently, Gridle has 12000 users in 211 organisations. A member of Microsoft Bizspark, SAP Startup Focus and IBM global partner, Gridle has quite a list of prestigious awards to its name.
