FREAKOUTZ IS A SEARCH ENGINE APP FOR ALL THE HAPPENING PARTIES

In a city like Hyderabad, which has a huge youth demographic, there is a lot happening all the time. Be it standup comedy, karaoke, DJ nights or musical shows, the city is always ready to entertain youngsters with a variety of events which are staged at many venues. These days, the city is observing a growth in the number of cafes, restaurants and clubs. Where there were no places to party, today, we have lots of hangout places sprouting out of nowhere leaving us in a dilemma as to where to go. Most times, when we go try out a new place, it leaves us disappointed. Even places which have good online ratings and a good ambience fail to interest us. And our party time going down the drain is never acceptable, ever.

THE FREAKERS OF FREAKOUTZ

A series of really big disappointments from quite a few venues on the day of his farewell, led to the idea of FreakoutZ by one of its founders, Abhirup Dikshit (IIIT-H research scholar) who manages the startup. The other founders are Rajat Singh (IIIT-H undergraduate) and Nurendra Choudhary (IIIT-H research scholar) who are the technological team along with Rushi Agnihotri (MBA, IBS) handling the sales and promotions.

The Team

With all the right reasons to party every night, these youngsters visited venues all month long searching and collaborating with trending places. They started with the Playboy club as the first venue on the app. Venues were hard to get. Showing positive results and the advantages of online booking and payment, FreakoutZ convinced them. FreakoutZ has 3500 downloads and 2300 active users in a short span of 5 months with a simple revenue model which charges commissions from the venues.

FIND OUT FROM FREAKOUTZ

It is a location based application to display the most happening and trending places to its users. Users can look up the venues and events and book tickets till the party is over. Instant booking helps users get into any place they want at any time. All this, they do with the help of GPS and a real time heat map. As red as the venue gets on the map, that much trending the event is. It stands apart from its contemporaries by the unique heat map feature. Also it doesn’t present a long list of unnecessary places to scroll down endlessly.

FUTURE PLANS

On the way is a personalized event recommender to each user based on his previous choices of venues and parties. Analyzing his likes on the basis of his ratings, the perfect event for the user is presented to him. This ultimately will give 4 to 5 venues which he will truly ideally enjoy.

FreakoutZ’s biggest collaboration till date is now coming up with the event of Sunburn Arena featuring the world’s top DJ Dimitri Vegas &Like Mike and Marshmello at the Gachibowli Stadium on the 8^th of October. Dreaming big and achieving big is what seems to be trending at FreakputZ.
