BECK Technology Ventures Pvt. Ltd. – a start-up that focuses on simplifying global logistics requirements through technology. BECK is looking to disrupt the global logistics market through technology and help its users in sending anything anywhere economically by bringing in a community-led approach.

Beck In A Nutshell

The need for sending things from one place to another is ever growing. While the world is shrinking, but still doesn’t have the one platform to go to where they can send anything anywhere and that is where BECK Friends comes in play. Use its platform to leverage your social network to send anything anywhere and earn as you travel. It’s something we usually do when we travel and carry things for our relatives and friends.

BECK offers two services

 1) BECK Instant Delivery – An app-based service that helps you deliver anything anywhere within the city on the same day. The services are currently operational in Mumbai and would be launched in other cities shortly – www.beckme.com

2) BECK Friends – BECK Friends is a peer-to- peer delivery service allowing one to earn while traveling. You can place a request on their platform to send a parcel anywhere on the globe and someone traveling on that route will deliver it for you. While the user does not have to pay anything to send a parcel but the traveler can make some money for delivering it. The sender and traveler can mutually decide the cost of delivering the parcel, BECK Friends provides an estimate based on their research. Behind The Curtains

The company has 4 Co-Founders: Deep Malhotra 36 yrs, Shikha Pandey 32 yrs, Rahul Basu 23yrs & Mayukh Basu 22 yrs. The founding team is robust with a good mix of technology & business expertise. Rahul Basu and Mayukh Basu two engineers in their early twenties from BITS Pilani lead the technology at BECK. Shikha Pandey, ex-Airtel & ex-Unilever, leads the operations & strategy of the business and Deep Malhotra, Ex-Google and Ex-Senior Director MySpace, who is on board as a Co-Founder and is leading the team.

The core team came together with a common mission of simplifying sending anything anywhere in the world with the use of technology. A desire to disrupt logistics industry with technology by giving users an opportunity to earn; the idea grew momentum when Rahul & Mayukh who are BITS Pilani graduates met Deep Malhotra and Shikha Pandey at an incubation program in Gemini New Media Ventures. Focused on technology combined with the business experience of Deep & Shikha this gave them a unique combination of the core team which is rich with technology focus & business expertise.

The current business focus is to get maximum signups and traction on the platform. We want the users to experience the product and engage on the platform. Hence the there are no charges to sign-up or use BECK Friends right now. Currently bootstrapped and self-funded with up to USD 200K in funds and close to operational breakeven numbers on their Instant delivery platform, they plan to make the single interface simple to use product integrating all our services & features that are habit changing for travelers and people who want to send things anywhere.
