iPhone 7 kills my expectations with “NO” headphone jack

Biggest drawback in iPhone 7 is the removal of headphone jack port

Well, Apple is back with its brand new iPhone 7 and the world is going crazy for it. It has come up with dual speakers, improved resolution and water resistance. But the major drawback it has bought to itself is the removal of headphone jack port (Is it?). It is priced around $649 for a 32GB model, $749 for a 128GB model and $849 for a 256GB.

As always Apple has added some extra features and released a new one into the market. It’s hard to differentiate an iPhone 7 from the previous one.

iPhone7 becomes a JACK A** without headphone port

Now coming to the main part which is the removal of headphone jack, a lot of users are surprised knowing that their earphones would not work with their brand new phone. Personally my Bose earphones are going into the dump as it is useless with this new Iphone.

Tim Cook says that removal of the universal headphone jack has made the phone even slimmer. Is he out of his senses? The iPhone 6 itself is slim and slippery, every time it slips from my hand I have to pay $200 for screen replacement. Now with the new iPhone the phone will slip more frequently.

Definitely the battery size has improved without the JACK but compared to Android phone the iPhone had any day longer charge. The brand new iPhone 7 provides you with an extra of 2 hours a day on average which is a necessary evil as I feel.

Now, if you think you can take your iPhone 7 for diving or swimming because its water resistant then you are going to lose it within few days of your purchase. It can handle only a specified amount of water pressure like you can take it for a shower or dip it in water for 20 minutes or so. If you want to test this feature make sure your warrant and insurance covers water resistance.

Home button goes for a toss

As well as killing off the Headphone jack, Apple has dropped the mechanical home button from the new iPhone 7, replacing it with a static version that’s force sensitive. Vibrations delivered through the home button will be used as notifications, with unique buzzes for things like text messages and calls.

Apple has been iterative in its design since its inception and they haven’t changed much with the camera and design. It still follows the same old technology which has already been implemented into android a long time back.

It’s time for Tim Cook to sit back and think if he can do the next big thing for Apple as jobs did, to make Apple a great company.

Can Apple make newer innovations or is it going to stick to its old school of adding new features and releasing new gadgets into the market.

Share your thoughts about this new iPhone 7.
