PM Narendra Modi praises Indian citizens

PM Narendra Modi, on Sunday, gave an emotional speech in Goa and praised Indian citizens for bearing the temporary hardship caused by demonetization of Rs. 500 and Rs. 1000 notes, without breaking law and order. He said that he became the PM of India, not just to sit in the PM’s chair and enjoy authority and luxury, but to actually do something good for the citizens of India. He said that he had left his family and mother behind to do something good for Indian citizens. Narendra Modi said that he was aware of the nature, power and intentions of the people who would oppose him because of this move. He said that they will try to defame and even murder him to protect their black money, but he stands firm in his move to eliminate black money and corruption from India. Narendra Modi said that he was ready to face anyone and any consequences to eliminate black money and corruption from India.

Narendra Modi said that big scammers, who had looted money in the order of lakhs of crores, now had to stand in long queues, to be able to withdraw even Rs. 2000 from ATMs! Narendra Modi also announced that he had new plans in mind to retrieve even the last remaining amounts of black money in India, but at the moment couldn’t share it with the public to preserve the plan’s secrecy and effectiveness. He said that he had demonetized Rs. 500 and Rs. 1000 notes, not to show off his ego and authority but to cleanse the nation of black money. He said that this temporary inconvenience was only for 50 days out of which six days are already over. He requested that the citizens of India stand by him in this massive cleanup drive and bear the inconvenience for just another forty odd days. Narendra Modi said that once this massive cleanup drive was over, there will not even be a black mosquito in India! Read more on Black Money

He said that opposition parties, being deeply involved in corruption, were shying away from responsibilities and simply criticizing to gain political mileage. Narendra Modi said that the plan to demonetize Rs. 500 and Rs. 1000 was announced suddenly to preserve the secrecy and effectiveness of the plan. He said that people who knew how to loot money would have also figured out a way to protect or transfer or convert it if the plan was announced in advance. The motive of this drive is to bring financial equality to the people. There should not be a huge gap between the rich and poor. Narendra Modi further added that people who reveal and deposit their black money in banks and who pay 45% tax on their black money would not be questioned about the source of the black money. On the contrary, if people who do not deposit their black money are caught, they would be questioned a lot and could even be imprisoned for life or sentenced to death. Narendra Modi said that he would do everything in his power to protect the rights of honest people and make their voices heard in every nook and corner of the country. In a shocking revelation, Narendra Modi revealed that the banks in India have received over Rs. 7 lakh crores of black money through deposits and taxes on deposits so far! Last, but not the least, Narendra Modi said that black money hoarders should not only worry about themselves but also about the future of their children and the fate of their family as they would be severely punished, and defamed if they do not deposit their black money in banks within the given deadline. Narendra Modi, however, wondered why the people were surprised with the demonetization as he has been vocal and frank about this in his campaign against black money and corruption in the run up to the 2014 polls and also by actions he had taken soon after coming to power.

We stand by PM Narendra Modi in his fight against corruption and black money. We totally agree that he or his government could not have revealed their plan in advance as it would have spoiled the very purpose of the plan and its effectiveness. This fact was also voiced out by the Finance minister, Arun Jaitley, in his speech on Saturday. He said that opposition parties were making irresponsible comments about telling people in advance about the government’s intention and about the availability of new notes. Arun Jaitley said that recalibrations of ATMs throughout India would take thousands of men and about a month. There have been many movies in different languages in India about retrieving black money, but none had given any practical or brilliant ideas. This move by PM Narendra Modi to retrieve black money is truly a mastermind plan and is a masterstroke. We salute him for his intelligence and courage shown in retrieving black money.
