Chief Technology Officer Adam Messinger departs from Twitter

Another high level exit from Twitter, this time it is their technology head that is leaving. Adam Messinger tweets about his departure from the company on Wednesday. He thanks CEO Jack Dorsey for the opportunity and his team for “Shipping”.

Twitter has become a sinking ship, it was in news for being on sale, then it was in news for not selling, again was in news for high level exits. They are constantly paving their way into the media with only bad news. Messinger was with Twitter for 5 years and became the CTO in March 2013. Prior to this he was in Oracle, Splunk and other companies.  Engineering Vice President Ed Ho will be handling all the responsibilities of a CTO and will report directly to Jack Dorsey. “We’re taking steps to streamline and flatten the organisation by elevating our engineering, product and design functions, with each area now reporting directly to Jack,” a company spokesperson said in an email.

Recently Rishi Jaitly India Head of Twitter and Twitter SEA Managing Director Parminder Singh jumped off this sinking ship. To keep expenses rock bottom, Twitter decided to cut down staff, and shut down video app Vine.
