Bharti Airtel has appointed Mrs. Vani Venkatesh as the CEO of its retail sector. Vani Venkatesh will be responsible for improving Airtel’s retail strategy and its customers’ online and retail experience with Airtel. She will aim to provide a seamless customer experience across retail touch points of Airtel. Vani Venkatesh will take over from the ex – CEO, Rohit Malhotra. Airtel has been investing a lot to improve its customers’ physical and online experience. Airtel has revamped, renovated and re – opened all of its stores throughout India. These new stores will serve as a one – stop – point for all of its customers’ needs. Customers can change their Airtel SIM card, recharge their talk – time and internet balance, change their internet or telephone plan, add or delete an internet or telephone plan, among other facilities, all at once, in the same store! Vani Venkatesh has over nineteen years of corporate experience. In her last role, she was responsible for the medical nutrition business at Abbott Healthcare (India). Prior to Abbott Healthcare, she worked with McKinsey & Company, where she led projects across industries. She began her career with Hindustan Unilever in the finance sector. Vani has done an MBA in finance management from the reputed Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Bangalore. She is also a qualified Charted Accountant, Cost and Works Accountant and Airtel’s Secretary.
