There are apps for saving money as well as mange your money in a more efficient way. We looked for free apps as it would be ironic to spend more money on a money saving tool.
One Receipt
This is one of my favourites because I always misplace my receipts. If you want to be on top of your spending, you have to do a reconciliation at the end of every month. This app keeps all your paper and digital receipt in one place. Now you don’t have to worry about searching for a receipt when trying to return an item.
Goodbudget
If you have a savings plan with a few people contributing, this app is brilliant with that. Perhaps you and your boyfriend are planning a vacation and are saving towards your goal. You can sync both of your budget reports and see how you are doing as a team. I think this is the best home finance app because you and your partner can be on the same page without sitting down and working the figures.
Bigwords
A great way for students to save money on textbooks is Bigwords. This app allows you to scan the barcode of the textbook you need. Then it will show you where you can purchase the book at the least price. Don’t you just hate buying a book only to see it cheaper a week later at another store. Of course by this time you already used a highlighter on yours and can’t return it. Yes that happened to me before I knew about Bigwords.
Sworkit
We all want to live a healthy lifestyle but the prices of gym memberships are ridiculous. Especially if you are struggling just to get by. With this workout app you get the personal trainer right there on your phone. You do not need expensive gym equipment to get started. This app is highly rated and with reason. You can get that summer body without stepping a foot in the gym.
Roomer
So you’ve been proactive and booked your vacation in advance, only to have a complicated situation arise on those dates. You’ve paid for the hotel and now you cannot use it. This app allows you to place your hotel booking up for sale. If someone wants to book those exact dates, they can take it off your hands for a better price. This way both parties win.
Level money
How embarrassing is it to go out with friends, only to find you don’t have enough money in your budget to spend? Avoid these moments by using this app to show you in real-time how much money you have left to spend. You can set your spending limits to daily, weekly and monthly.
Conclusion
There are many ways to save money with the right kind of technology. You no longer have to throw money at everything you want to do. Allow yourself to breathe without making more debt by using these apps in your everyday life.
