Delhi-Based online fitness startup, Fitnapp which is first of its kind in the country has raised undisclosed funds from SD Group which is a leading and well-known platform in real estate business and International trading.
Founded in year 2015, Mr. Akshay Jhinga is the founder and CEO of the Fitnapp, who is an IIM graduate and ex- city manager for Ola. The free of cost application is available on both Android and iOS platforms. Fitnapp offers the customers to discover and purchase fitness services from gyms and fitness centers around the city. They also provide products like fitness supplements, gym equipments, fitness gadgets and review them.
Mr.Akash says “Fitnapp has created its own identity in the fitness market through its unique innovative approach and services. This helped Fitnapp to get into strategic alliances with the brands like Uber, Ola, Shopclues, Mobikwik and Zomato etc, which offers benefits to clients across different company verticals.”
The Fitnapp is a team of 20 members which includes engineers, management and fitness trainers by professions. The platform claims to have partnered with over 1,500 gyms and fitness centers. They also provide various subscriptions plans which fit all sizes of pockets. In 12 months, Fitnapp projects to acquire over 100,000 users.
Mr.Sanjay K Balisae who is from SD Group and associated with the Fitnapp as the director, has over 22 year experience in sales and marketing industry. He says “We with our team of alumni of IIM and IIT are making Fitnapp a holistic platform to provide 360 degree services in health, beauty and fitness which includes services like dietitians, physiotherapist, trainers at home, and fitness expert to provide tailor-made fitness solutions to users.”
The investor’s SD Group is a leading investing company in real estate platform and also received many awards like Global India of the year in 2014, Asia Pacific of Excellence Award etc, and also works on projects like marketing surveys, financial and qualitative analysis, reviewing legal Documents etc.
Fitnapp will use their funds to improve their assessment oriented services which require more customization, and development of app which enhances usability of each and individual user.
