CSB, established in November 1920 as The Catholic Syrian Bank Limited. Oldest private sector bank in Kerala, celebrated its Centenary Year in 2020 with Mr.Madhavan Aravamuthan as Chairman. “Mr. Pralay Mondal has been appointed as Deputy Managing Director of CSB Bank with RBI’s approval in terms of Section 35B of the Banking Regulation Act, 1949. His tenure is for three years from February 17, 2022,” CSB Bank said in a statement. As MD, CVR.Rajendran cited health issues and decided to retire on March 31st 2022 instead of the actual date December 8th 2022. CSB Bank’s MD & CEO CVR Rajendran said “We are delighted and excited with the appointment of Mr. Mondal as President (Retail, SME, Operations and IT) and look forward to his playing a key leadership role at the Bank. Mr. Mondal is a proven trailblazer who brings strong commercial banking expertise and experience to CSB Bank.”
Mr.Pralay Mondal has three decades of banking experience with (recently resigned as Executive Director and Retail Banking Head) Axis Bank, Yes Bank, HDFC Bank, Standard Chartered Bank, Colgate Palmolive, Wipro Info Tech – Retail, SME, Operations and IT. Across multiple business functions -retail assets, retail liabilities, business banking, products and technology, building broking and capital market businesses, wealth management franchise, private banking, bank promoted NBFCs, credit cards and large payments franchise and digital businesses.
No doubt he will prove himself in the growth of the Organization by recreating customer experience in the Retail banking business segment.
