Runnr hires top guns while TinyOwl founders quit the game

Runnr hires executives from Bharati Group, Uber, and Facebook to strengthen their capacity to meet customer expectations. The Bengaluru based food ordering and delivery platform acquired TinyOwl and became Runnr from Roadrunnr. Mohit Kumar, CEO of the food delivery startup confirmed to media that the founders of TinyOwl Harsvardhan Mandand and Saurabh Goyal quit. Reason for their quitting was not specified.

Regarding the new recruitment Mohit Kumar said “With a strong core team in place we are now focused on a new phase of growth,”

Runnr is founded by Mukunda NS, Mohit Kumar, Vatsal singhal, Gnanesh Chillukuri, Aaravind Reddy, Arpit Dave in 2015. The startup has raised $28M in three rounds from Blume Ventures, Nexus Venture Partners, and Sequoia Capital. In May 10, 2016 they acquired TinyOwl. Read news on Tiny Owl.

Runnr is competiting with FoodPanda and Swiggy. FoodPanda is known for their bad customer experience and glitches in their technology. They are restructuring technology, processes, and resources. On the other hand Swiggy is a well funded food delivery platform that has $75M funds till date and they are dominating the market right now.
